Prior to forming Vanguard Land, LLC, Mr. Peshkin was the founder & Chief Executive Officer of Starwood Land Ventures, an affiliate of Starwood Capital Group Global, a real estate private equity firm. Mr. Peshkin enjoyed a 24-year career with Taylor Woodrow and served as its North American CEO and President. Mr. Peshkin is credited with overseeing the company's expansion into over a $2 billion enterprise with operations spanning the continent. Under his leadership, Taylor Woodrow was recognized as the Inaugural Homebuilder inducted into Builder Magazine's "Hall of Fame," cited for architectural excellence throughout North America. Mr. Peshkin is also a Licensed Florida Contractor, Real Estate Broker and Community Association Manager. Mr.Peshkin received a B.S. in Finance from Lehigh University. Mr. Peshkin previously served on the Board of Directors of WCI Communities and Standard Pacific Corporation, New York Stock Exchange listed companies. Mr. Peshkin currently serves on the Board of Directors of PulteGroup, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange listed company.
Mr. Swanson has had long and prosperous 43 year career with several engineering firms, including an 18 year tenure at Kimley Horn and Associates. During his tenure at Kimley Horn and Associates, Mr. Swanson opened, managed and grew the Sarasota, Florida office; earning a 50% market share of residential development projects. Mr. Swanson received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois and a MBA from Temple University. Mr. Swanson is a registered Professional Engineer in the states of Florida, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Colorado and Hawaii.
Mr. Watson served as the Chief Financial Officer of Taylor Woodrow's North American operations for 13-years, during his tenure at Taylor Woodrow, Mr.Watson served on the North American Executive Committee and Investment Committee. He was responsible for corporate finance and banking, investment appraisals, tax planning and compliance, information technology, insurance and bonding. Previously, Mr. Watson managed the accounting function for Ft. Brooke Bank (now BB&T) and served as a Senior Auditor with Deloitte & Touche. Mr. Watson received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Florida State University and is a Certified Public Accountant and licensed Building Contractor.
Mr. Peshkin joined Vanguard Land, LLC in 2009 and leads the firm’s acquisition and disposition activities. Prior to joining Vanguard Land, Mr. Peshkin was an analyst at Starwood Land Ventures. Mr. Peshkin received a B.A. from the University of Florida and is a licensed real estate agent.
Mrs. Hays joined Vanguard Land, LLC in 2010 and acts as the firm’s operations manager. In her role, Mrs. Hays interacts with numerous homeowners associations, oversees land development activity and manages the entitlement process of the firm’s raw land assets. Mrs. Hays received her B.A. from the University of Virginia and is a licensed real estate agent.
Mr. Hays joined Vanguard Land, LLC in 2013 and serves as the firm’s land development manager. Prior to joining Vanguard Land, Mr. Hays served as a Lieutenant in the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Mesa Verde and USS Enterprise. He received his Nuclear Engineering Officer qualification in May 2013. Mr. Hays received a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
